Daisy Zheng was invited to develop and deliver a cross-cultural outdoor exercise for the participants of an international project on "International Employability".

Participants were Chinese and German young professionals; they were going to work together in different projects in the coming months. All the participants got a direct “culture shock” and experienced confusion, frustration, exciting, anger and happiness in the exercise. When they were asked to share their feelings after the exercise, they reflected a lot of difficulties in cross-cultural communication, especially a lot of issues that they never expected as barriers. In the end, Daisy summarized the key points in being aware of cultural differences to perform better in intercultural environment. The feedback of the program evaluation showed that this simulation game was one of the highlights during their ten-day project, as they learned how the different cultural logics could influenced a multicultural team in their collaboration and communication.
