Learning from the real-world

SAP Labs China with more than 1.500 employees is the fourth largest Labs within SAP globally. As a transnational corporation, employees will gain intensive experience in working together with people from different cultures. With recommendation from Faye Zhao (KPS Training Manager),  our group was invited to pay a visit to SAP labs China Shanghai on March 22th, 2010.

Stephanie He and Linna Zhao from Communication Department, showed us around the campus. There were exhibition hall, coffee corner, gym center, and canteen-the comfortable working environment, which is a full display of SAP's corporate culture, left a impressive impression on us.

Andy Tang, Executive Assistant of the MD office, gave a brief and vivid introduction on SAP and SAP Labs China. The inspiring history, business development and future plan of SAP Labs China were thrilling. It is known to all that a company can not survive and stand out without talent. Elaine Wu, Senior Recruiter in APAC region, introduced the talent recruitment practices in APAC and China, including the campus marketing, recruitment and the career development for talent.

At the end of the day, we discussed about the international recruitment practices and cross-cultural competencies with Andy Tang and Elaine Wu, who shared their intercultural working experiences generously and answered our questions with their  professional's point of view.
