Tjitra & associates initiated a joint research in change leadership, namely Leading and Managing Large Scale Change. This ongoing research is a collaboration between Program in Leadership and Organization – at Columbia University (USA), the Global Change Alliance (GCA), Zhejiang University (China), and Atma Jaya University (Indonesia). From the literatures in change, we know that the role of a leader is undeniably crucial in the process of change, but their personal struggle and lesson–learned are rarely discussed. In that context, the research aims to understand what aspects contribute to success or failure, also the lessons about process of change and leaders’ important role as change agent at personal level.

The ongoing research aims to compile the perspectives of 100+ C-Suite leaders in Europe, USA, and Asia. In Indonesia and Singapore, 22 top executives (President Director / CEO, Chairman, and Vice President) from various companies: MNC as well as big local companies had shared their personal insight in managing change on this study. To name a few of them are owner of one big local conglomerates company, chairman of number one private company, director of the biggest bank in regards of assets, etc. Data collection in China will start very soon within this month.

As a way to provide input for the preliminary results while ensuring that the results are quite relevant to the needs of industry in Indonesian culture context, Tjitra & associates, with Atma Jaya University as host and Zhejiang University as strategic partner, working together to held a roundtable discussion on April 12th, 2012, under the flag of Global Indonesian Network.
